I think they recommend food to avoid stomach upset. I've been taking

mine without food with no problem. I would at least give it a try at

a convenient time, in case you do have stomach upset.

Thanks !

I'm going to be home today so I'll give it a try on my next dose. I

thought it might be like ibuprofen without food. That can be nasty,

maybe because I go for high doses when I need it

Pat I have found that even milk is a good substitute for food with HC,

BUT you really need something in your stomach as it can be really rough

on it otherwise.

I keep a zip lock bag of raw almonds in my purse and chew a few when I dose away

from home. Have been scared to take it without as even supplements get me

queazy. :)

The instructions on my cortef prescription say to take with food,

something that i didn't have to do with isocort. I am not always near

food at the time I need to dose. Has anyone been taking cortef

without food? I always have water with me so that would be easy.

Thanks for your help!

Hmmm, sounds like I may have to bring some food along with me when I

go out. Maybe a bag of almonds would do. Milk is OK when I'm home,

but I really hate cold milk in the morning.

I guess this is an upside for isocort.

Thanks for your help everyone
