Guest guest
I had hysteroscopic resection for a 2 cm fibroid 3 years ago--I would not have felt like going anywhere that night. I wasn't in any pain or anything, just tired (probably from the anesthesia) and just felt like sitting on the couch and watching tv. The next day I felt fine and could have done anything. I don't remember the quantity of blood afterward--just that it lasted several days--I don't remember that being terrible, though. Hope that helps. Guest guest
I recently had a hysteroscopic resection of a fibroid and polyps. The procedure took over two hours because they have to snip out the extraneous stuff a tiny " bite " at a time, thru the scope. Theproblem for your evening plans is that you will still have plenty of anesthetic in your system tht evening - my facility gives specific instruction to NOT Drive - and I'll admit to sleeping much of the 24 hours after the surgery. in MN > I am trying to schedule a hysteroscopic resection for a mostly > submucosal but partially intramural fibroid about 3 cm in diameter. > Since it has to be during the two non-bleeding weeks of my cycle, > preferably right after my period, and on a Monday (according to my > doctor's schedule), I am looking at July 2 as the soonest possible > date. Guest guest
and Sydney~ Thanks for the info. Luckily, I just found out today I can have the resection June 13 instead of July 2, so it won't interfere with anything. I'm so happy they could squeeze me in so soon. I really want to be done with this. Now I'm wondering, should I notice a difference my very first period after that? Thanks~ Liz > > I am trying to schedule a hysteroscopic resection for a mostly > > submucosal but partially intramural fibroid about 3 cm in > diameter. > > Since it has to be during the two non-bleeding weeks of my cycle, > > preferably right after my period, and on a Monday (according to my > > doctor's schedule), I am looking at July 2 as the soonest possible > > date. Guest guest
I noticed a difference right away, but my GYN at the time told me to give it 3 cycles to see what will be " normal " . She told me sometimes your first (and second) period can be lighter or heavier and that's not necessarily indicative of how it will be going forward. My first one was the way it was going forward; if it matters, I was on the pill which might have had some impact. Sydney At 11:32 PM 6/7/01 +0000, you wrote: > and Sydney~ > >Thanks for the info.
