Guest guest
Hi again, If you can only walk a minute, do a minute. It will get easier. As for your back pain, any excess weight you might be carrying will exacerbate it. So, walking might hurt a bit, but ultimately, it'll feel SO much better. I'm also a Pilates instructor so I work with a lot of clients with low back issues--their doctors always tell me that the first few weeks of working out will be the hardest, your back might hurt a bit more at first. But it DOES get better. Just take it very slowly. Another exercise you can do is to lie on your bed (see, this is an easy one with your legs bent, feet resting on the mattress. Gently press and release your lower back into the mattress. Do this several times before you get out of bed in the morning and before falling asleep at night. You can also start in that same position and pull one knee into the chest at a time. Just hold the gentle pull for a few breaths. You can do it. Baby steps. :)Becky
