GTZ’s Health Sector Support Program (GTZ HSS) wishes to recruit outstanding

professionals to fill vacancies that have arisen with them pursuant to

Government of Germany’s commitment to support the “National Rural Health

Mission” and the National AIDS Control Program (NACP III). All positions provide

exciting opportunities to explore fresh, innovative approaches to work.

Senior Consultant- Health Sector Coordination (Ref: SCHSC; Email:

gtz-hsc@...)

The incumbent shall function as GTZ HSS’s senior sector specialist and analyst,

with responsibility for tracking and reporting developments in the health

sector, contributing to the development of sector wide approaches and internal

and external representation.

Applicants should have a Masters in Health, Social Sciences, or related

discipline and atleast 10 years relevant experience with reputed organizations

in the health sector. Senior level involvement with health sector policy and/or

analysis, is essential.

Senior Consultant- HIV/AIDS (Ref: SCHA; Email: gtz-ha@...)

The incumbent shall lead the HIV/AIDS portfolio of GTZ HSS Program in India,

with responsibility for designing and implementing work place interventions,

mainstreaming HIV/AIDS among GTZ priority sectors and supporting development

oriented drug control.

Applicants should have a Masters in Public Health or equivalent

qualification and atleast 10 years relevant experience with reputed

organizations active in HIV/AIDS and substance abuse.

Senior Consultant- Social Security (Ref: SCSS; Email: gtz-ss@...)

The incumbent shall suggest strategies and a viable framework for addressing the

social health security needs of the poor. S/he would work closely with

government and program partners, suggesting systems and procedures and providing

technical guidance to operationalize the delivery of social health security,

including micro health insurance.

Applicants should be graduates with a specialization in actuarial science or

statistics applied to insurance and atleast 10 years relevant experience in the

insurance/ reinsurance sector, with exposure to micro health insurance.

Senior Consultant- Quality Management (Ref: SCQM; Email: gtz-qm@...)

The incumbent shall lead GTZ HSS’s Quality Management initiatives, targeted at

improving the quality of public and private health care systems in India,

emphasizing accreditation, certification and licensing.

Applicants should posses a post-graduate specialization in Quality

Management and atleast 10 years relevant experience. Exposure to the

application of accreditation/ certification/ licensing, to the health or related

sectors, is essential.

Senior Consultant- Public Private Partnerships (Ref: SCPPP; Email:

The incumbent shall lead GTZ HSS’s Public Private Partnership initiatives,

seeking to enhance collaboration between the public and private health systems

to improve delivery and access to basic health services.

Applicants should have a Masters in Health, Social Sciences, or related

discipline and atleast 10 years relevant experience with reputed organizations

in the health sector. Prior exposure to managing collaborative programs, is

essential.

Senior Consultant- Government Partnership (Ref: SCGP; Email:

The incumbent shall engage directly with key public sector institutions

(including MOHFW, NSHRC, NIHFW and the Departments of Health and Family

Welfare), at the central and state levels, to develop a clear understanding of

their strategies and plans and appropriately position GTZ HSS.

Applicants should have a Masters in Health, Social Sciences, or related

discipline and atleast 10 years relevant experience with reputed organizations

in the health sector. Prior experience of working, or collaborating with public

sector institutions, is essential.

Consultant- Quality Management (Ref.: CQM; Email: gtz-cqm@...)

Reporting to the Senior Consultant- Quality Management, the incumbent shall

operationally support GTZ HSS’s Quality Management initiatives, through close

cooperation and engagement with all involved institutions.

Applicants should posses a post-graduate specialization in Quality

Management, atleast five years relevant experience and good exposure to the

application of accreditation/ certification/ licensing, to the health or related

sectors.

All positions are based in Delhi and with the exception of

Consultant-Quality Management, report to the Principal Advisor Health.

Incumbents must possess the ability to lead and work in teams, excellent oral

and written communication in English and Hindi, and be willing to travel

extensively. Successful candidates shall be initially offered contracts

covering the duration of the approved commission, with possibility of renewal,

based on satisfactory performance.

A probationary period of three months forms part of the contract. Compensation

levels at GTZ HSS compare favorably with the market. Selected candidates shall

be required to join within a month.
