I must have missed that request.

Here is mine, ex post facto (after the fact):

I have learned many things. Some of the most important are -

1) I found the Atkins_Support_List! This list has been the difference

between me hanging on versus chucking it as of last Febuary or so. I am

filled with gratitude of my fellow listmembers, and I want to thank every

one of you.

2) Self-image, weight, exercise and other things build on themselves. Where

many of us would sit around, doing the wrong things and saying " why doesn't

it get better? " Start doing the right things, and you start saying " why was

I ever THAT way? "

3) I admitted that I am a carb addict. I came to believe that it only works

if I work it.

4) I discovered that exercise is not a requirement for this WOE to

work...however, you WILL reach a point where you have to eat less or

exercise more to lose weight. I chose the exercise route and never

regretted it.

5) In the course of exercising and the approximately 600 miles (almost

1000km) of bike riding I've done this year, I've seen many beautiful things

and met many wonderful people. It is indescribable the feeling of getting

up early in the morning, dark out, with the moon and the stars in the sky.

Hop on the bike, and over the next two hours or so watch the sky get

lighter, watch the sun come up, and get to work in a fresh new day.

I've done more than lose weight on this diet...I've found myself. This is

something no amount of money can buy...and it is mine for the taking.

I love you all!

Huggy what a great reply. It makes me so happy to hear that finally we

have found the solution to our weight problem. And since we now have the

solution that everything else just seems to fall into place. Isn't life

great? Hope you have a great new year.
