Kerry, can you call the doctor? Sometimes just a phone call helps and they can

advise you if you need to come in or if they can call the pharmacy with

something to help you through the pain today....

Try giving your doctor a call and if you can - be sure and rest as much as

possible.

(((((((((((((Kerry))))))))))) gentle healing hugs for you

Maybe they could give you some sort of shot for the pain.

Kerry,.......I am so very sorry your feeling so bad. The girls have

given some good advice. I always feel the same way, " What can the

hospital do? " The one in my town, just send you on home, and tell me

to call my doctor tomorrow. If you can get through the night, call

your doctor, and try to get in. Maybe they can give you some type of

shot, that will work much faster then pills. Just a thought. I will

keep you in my prayers, you have been through so much, Tawny

Everyday is diffrent, Im having a good day today, not bad pain.. *yipee*

I can deal with achey... I would take that everyday over the bad crap..

I have been keeping a very explanitory pain journal so that I have it to

take to the dr with me next time I go. I am hoping that maybe it will

help decide what pain meds I need and what plan of treatment to take.

Thank you for your thoughts,

Kerry

Have either of you ever gone to a pain clinic. They

are a lot more resourceful than a general MD usually

is. It took a pain clinic to control my pain.

Dear ,

Between now and your appointment, keep track of your

pain - it's level on a 1-10 basis - and description

like burning, throbbing so you will have as much data

as possible for your MD. Tell him anything that has

helped you - hot pack, cold pack, walking, lying down.

Likewise, record things that make your pain worse.

From now on you need to be sure to mention your pain

(or any other symptom) at your appointments so the MD

will have as complete a record as possible. That's

true for any symptom.

That's such a good idea. I might do tha too. With Home Health over here like every day now, sometimes twice or more a day, trying to get me stabilized, I'm getting very overwhelmed trying to describe the pain every single time. "I hurt all over" just doesn't cut it. Can't imagine why. *wry grin*. Anyway, great idea. Thanks. I'm going to see if I can pull myself together and try doing that too.

I'm so "complicated" (I love that term all the docs use on me - not) that I started years ago typing out a list of everything going on with me at the time I go in. I also always take in a current update which includes my diagnoses, currents meds, past medical history, last surgical history, family history... and I just hand it to them and say "here it is if you want to make it easy on yourself and just read it instead of me stumbling around over my words". *wry grin*

I have. And, they made me toxic, and almost killed me. I was in the hospital for almost three weeks. So, now I'm terrified of pain docs.

Home Health has been trying to talk me in to going to a pain doc again. They say many advances have been made, and that what happened to me was really unusual and not likely to happen. I'm trying to get my nerve up.
