Guest guest
Hi everyone, When I had my saliva test back on 08/30/06 these were my results: 7-8 A 2 Depressed (13-24) Noon 4 Depressed (5-10) 4-5 2 Depressed (3-8) 11-12 1 Normal (1-4) Cortisol Burden 9 (23-42) DHEA 14 Elevated (3-10) FT4 .26 (.17-.42) FT3 .45 (.28- 1.10) TPO negative At the tome of testing, I was on 4.5 grains of Armour and still am. I have since started the HC and had reached 35 mg like this 15-10-5-5 I kept reading things on here and it seemed it was never recommended to take over 10 at once so I've gone back to 30 mg like this 10-10- 5-5 After doing so, I feel nauseated often and have a headache. I still am not energetic, but I've been sleeping better usually (As good as the grandbaby will let me I should say.) I just do not feel well. I've been doing my temps for the past few days and need your input. Do you think it is ever ok to take 15 mg in the am? I thought since mine was sooo low, that perhaps I should. If not, then what is the suggesed dosing amounts as I feel I need 35. Day 1 97.6, 98.0, 97.8 Ave 97.8 Day 2 97.8, 98.0, 98.2 Ave 98.0 Day 3 98.4, 98.4 So far I know I need to do more, but think it is interesting that the temps seem to be rising overall. I did take 5 grains of Armour yesterday (1/2 grain raise) because I feel so drained. Perhaps I need to try that dose again for a while since I'm on HC. I tried it once in the past, but felt it was too much after a while. Thanks! I'm too young (40) to feel so old. I have way too much stress from my adult?? step-kids and all their irresponsible decisions, but that is a whole long story. Guest guest
Kris with your labs I think 12.5 AM , 10, 7.5 and 5 would be good. Your High DHEA is all that is keeping you going. Have you tried lowering Armour for a bit to let your adrenals rest & catch up? I would think that would make more sense than increasing it when you already do not have enough cortisol to handle your daily needs as evidenced by the nausea. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi Val, No, I had not thought of decreasing Armour since I wasn't having thyroid dump symptoms. I should decrease even though I'm not hyper? How much would you think I need to decrease to? I will try the HC dosing you recommend. I did do the AM 12.5 some while going up and it seemed pretty good. (Had follwed that with 10, 5, 5 for a total of 32.5) > > Kris with your labs I think 12.5 AM , 10, 7.5 and 5 would be good. Guest guest
You don't have to be hyper for the T3 to stress your adrenals, and for it to get into the cells you have to have enough cortisol in you to not have them stressed. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
That makes sense now. So how much should I cut the Armour? How long til I should increase again? I think the answer on increasing back would be to increase when I have a stable temp and then raise til I get to a normal one, right? Thanks again. Kris (GA) BTW, the other day my DH actually looked at ma and said, " Cleaning really isn't your strong suit. " I can't make him understand this illness, but dang I'd also been taking care of HIS grandson for almost a month added to my regular responsibilities. Oh to be the energetic, neat, organized and kind person I once was!! > > You don't have to be hyper for the T3 to stress your adrenals, and for > it to get into the cells you have to have enough cortisol in you to not > have them stressed. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV

Guest guest
I would cut back one grain and see if your temps are stabilized. Give it a couple week after they stay very stable then add back in Armoru at 15MG doses every 3-4 weeks. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
