Guest guest
Hi, everyone. I have a doctor's appointment the week of the 15th. After that I will be starting the induction diet from Dr. Atkins. I am looking forward to this. I am diabetic and over weight, but not for much longer. My goal is to lose weight during 2001. I am not giving my self a specific amount in a specific time, but my goal weight is 180. I will be happy as long as I am making progress. I am tired of being fat and I am tired of being diabetic. I understand that being diabetic is a life long condition, but with the weight gone the condition is mitigated. I am currently a student at FSU, and am working toward a MA in anthropology. I took steps to change my life, leaving my SO, moving all the way across the country to go back to school, and this is the last thing I really need to over come. There are so many thing that I want to do, and being over weight keeps me from them, because my health is not up to the challenge, but it will be. Lori Ninceheler Alatanar@... Guest guest
HI Lori, Welcome and good luck. And congrats on working on your MA. I'm 33 and just getting ready to start bumping my AA up to a BA. I understand a lot of what you spoke about below. In the last 2 years, I left my SO of 14 years (that never wanted me to lose weight because he was afraid I would leave him), started an awesome job that allowed me to make enough money to support my kids since the ex doesn't pay his childsupport), and found my new lifestyle and my soulmate. I'm finding me and the last thing on my list, is to lose this layer of fat that is hiding the real me. I don't really have any intentions of getting down to my highschool size 9. I've had 2 kids since then and like myself being a little chubby. But 289 was more than a little chubby. My goal is to lose 50 pounds. That's 239. I'm at 266 now and hope to lose the next 27 by my birthday in May. As long as I'm losing, I'm not in any hurry. Heck, I'm at 266 now, which I haven't seen in 3 years. Divorce can have it's good side. hugs to all, dawn > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_Listegroups >To: <Atkins_Support_Listegroups> >Subject: Newbie! >Date: Mon, 1 Jan 2001 18:01:49 -0500 > >Hi, everyone. > I have a doctor's appointment the week of the 15th.
