Guest guest
--- Hi Poly, In response to your inquiry, No, I cancelled my surgery that was tentatively scheduled for January 31st. The surgery was suppose to be a Laparotomy/Hysterotomy because I had 2 failed Hyst/Laps as my adhesions are severe & dense and my RE said it would be impossible to hysteroscopically lyse them. However, a recent ultrasound I had done revealed my endometrial stripe at 8mm. This is promising news. If you recall, I posed this question to the group and had asked if anyone had a Laparotomy/Hysterotomy (which is when the surgeons approach the uterus from the top instead of vaginally)and no one had even heard of that surgical approach for treating Asherman's. As you know, Asherman's is usually treated hysteroscopically/laparoscopically. Then, I spoke to Dr. March in Los Angeles approximately 3 weeks ago and he agreed to review my records for the purposes of a 2nd opinion consultation to see if he could help me. Dr. March received my records this past Monday, 1/29 but, I haven't heard anything yet from Dr. March. I am anxiously awaiting his phone call to see what he has to say about my case. So, that's where I stand right now. Once I hear back from Dr. March, I'll know what direction I need to go in and, whether my husband and I will be travelling to Los Angeles, California for further treatment by Dr. March. I'll let the group know my news after I hear definitively from Dr. March. Thanks for concern. Lee.
