Guest guest
I know what you mean about feeling so excited about cramps! The one period I've had was so exciting I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! Glad everything is progressing well for you and keep us up to date! Thank you for sharing your feelings (and your emotionaly journey from " no way " to " maybe so " ) I appreciate your perspective. Yes, I know that there is a complete lack of control of the birth mother when you adopt - but I think the difference is that it is not " my " child the way you refer to it. At least not biologically not " mine " . I still view adoption as adopting someone else's child...not " my " child. It is true that the child eventually becomes mine...but it doesn't start out that way the way that it does with surrogacy. I knows it's a pretty nebulous distinction, but it is the way I feel, right now at least. But maybe I should do some research and listen to some GS's just to make sure that I've considered all our options. Thank you for the perspective . I'll try to keep an open mind. As for the pregnancy rates, I hope you are right that it is 50% - that's much better than the 30% my doctor told me....but, I have a feeling that the 30% is the more accurate number in my particular case with the severity and extensive nature of my scar tissue. And I think our own profile list bears that out as there have only been a small handfull of women that have been able to conceive and carry to term after severe Asherman's in our group. Never-the-less, I cling to the hope that I will be one of the 30%....just so many hurdles to get over to find out....
