Dear colleague

The need for NGOs to develop workplace policies related to HIV and AIDS is

recognised as one of the priorities for addressing the challenges related to HIV

and AIDS. In relation to this need INSA India is hosting and co-facilitating a 3

day workshop on HIV and AIDS in the Workplace from the 17th-19th of October 2006

in Bangalore. The Workshop is organised by Stop AIDS Now, a Dutch a partnership

of 5 Dutch co-funding NGOs viz., Aidsfonds, Hivos, ICCO, Memisa (Cordaid), and

Novib (Oxfam)

This is a Workshop where NGOs in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka that

are partnering with Dutch co-financing agencies are planning how to develop HIV

and AIDS related workplace policies for their own NGO.

The Workshop is looking at experiences of other organisations that have

developed their own workplace policies both nationally and internationally.

If your organisation has developed a workplace policy, would you please send

this on to us. We will include it in our files as reference materials for the

participants. Further, do you have any links with insurance agencies and any

other support scheme for medical coverage of people who are HIV+ do forward

those links too. Looking forward to hearing from you

With best wishes
