Guest guest Posted April 21, 2001 Report Share Posted April 21, 2001 Hello everybody I'm new to this group and I'm really scared.I'm 27 years old and just found out I have 2 fibroids. One is 4.8cm. and is inside my uterus. The other one is 8cm. and is outside of my uterus. I'm suppose to go for surgery the end of May. That is if my iron level is back up. My gyn has started me on high potency iron pills and I have to go in next week to get a shot of Depo-Lupron 11.25 dose. All this is so scary for me.At 27 I never imagined in a million years I would be dealing with all this. My boyfriend of many years and I were just starting to talk about getting married and starting a family together. My gyn has told me that my chances of ever carrying out a normal pregnancy are very low. He said due to the fact that the one inside of my uterus that they will have to actually cut open my uterus to get that one out. Like I said this is all so scary and confusing to me at the time. I would love to hear from anyone who can give me some insight or advice about all this. I am trying learn as much as I can so I better deal with all this. Well thanks for listening to me.
