Hi. Ok, Had to write to say I am feeling a bit stressed out now.

I just got a call from University hospital in Denver from the rhuematology dept.

My pcp asked me to call and make an appointment.

This is the same thing he asked me to do with the GI dept.

I took my sweet ass time making a GI appt, but did.

No one called me.

When you go to the office, they give you a list and it has all the dept numbers to call , and you make the appointment, unless it is like they need to get you in immediately.

So, they told me to call and make a rheumy appt. Of course I did not yet.

I get a call right now and they say the office called and asked them to call me and get me into an appt.

I was kind of surprized they do it or get you in so quickly. It is always a wait to get into a teaching hospital rheumy dept.

They were going to get me in in less than 2 weeks from now.

I said none of the times worked for me. I finally settled on Dec 10th.

I guess I am unnerved as they ran a series of blood tests, and one of the doctors over the resident I do not even know asked them to get me in there.

I canot help but wonder why and how come I did not just make the appt myself and they called me.

CRAP! I hate going to docs before xmas, it has always been around thanksgiving and xmas when I have had sudden surgeries, biopsies, bleeding, etc...

I really want to wait until januaury. I think I may call my doc or ask at appt what the big deal is anyhow.
