Guest guest
Dear Cheryl, I am so glad that you are sharing about your efforts to adopt. I think that it is definately a part of ashermans. It helps us all see how each other is dealing with the hope for building our families. Please feel free to share all about it. I know that I would like to hear how it is going!!!! Guest guest
Gwen - Glad that you are getting a lot of good info regarding adoption! It can be a really confusing process. I highly encourage you to e-mail in Chicago. She really does have a lot of experience with adoption and is a real advocate for it. She will be thrilled to talk with you and share her experience and knowledge - and maybe even save you a few bucks! Always a good thing! adopted from a young woman and was able to be in the delivery room and participate in the whole process. It was a great experience for her. Good luck in your journey! Guest guest
I totally get it. Many on the list would probably think that I gave up too quickly but I need this now too. I just had my diagonsis of Ashermans confirmed at my first hysteroscopy on Feb 2nd. I am not sure exactly what he did in there but he didn't even suggest taking a second look to see how I was doing. He did an ultrasound and said " well there really is no improvement so you might want to consider removing those fibroids and doing IVF. " I almost fell out. I told him that day that if my adoption attorney called the next day with a baby for us that I was " aborting this infertility mission. " I really did say that and my attorney really did call the next day with the baby. That was all that I needed to confirm that this is God's plan for us. I have not walked back into that office or called since!!! And I have never felt better. I agree that different people have different ways of moving on and when you feel drawn to adopt the urge is just as strong as wanting to have your own biological child. So YES I totally understand. Good luck with your adoption and I will keep everyone posted on ours!
