Mine didn't come down all at once after diagnosis, but it showed a steady decline. I was diagnosed on Nov. 29, with a fasting blood sugar of 353. My first week of totally normal readings didn't happen until December 17. But during that time I was seeing a decrease, and seeing more and more readings in the normal level. Other than the weird 1 hour spike I've been getting after breakfast, I've only had about 3 abnormal readings since then, and they were only a few points high.
