Guest guest
Well, I would say that recognition--that awareness--is a great step and worth applauding, absolutely. The diet mentality would scream, " Oh, you were BAD for mindlessly eating chocolate chips! " but the loving, nurturing IE mentality just says, " Aw, they're only chocolate chips and YAY! You made a connection between your emotions and eating! Fantastic! Kudos to you! " Progress, not perfection (or as some in recovery like to say, " Practice makes Progress " ). It's like doing yoga. You always have a yoga PRACTICE; it's not like you master all the poses and you're so flawless and perfect that you've reaped all the benefit you'll ever need and never do them again. You just keep practicing. For the rest of your life. I like to see IE as a practice, too. As a side note, I have a cat and I am madly in love with her, so I understand your concern. I do hope it's something treatable and that she'll be okay. ~Caitlin > This was one of the first times i have recongnized the emotional tie that i have with food. > Anyways i took my kitty to the doctors this morning and they are running some tests.
