Guest guest
I just posted a bit about glucose uptake without insulin into muscle cells using exercise. There are other good reasons why a diabetic should be paying attention to exercise as part of it's control of diabetes in the same way attention is paid to what is eaten and what drugs might be used. We all know about the role it plays in assisting weight loss, but that is really a minor role in it's several benefits for a diabetic, the glucose control without insulin being just one example. Many things happen at the cell level through out the body with diabetes that disturb normal cell function. Exercise is one of the most important ways to reverse that disruption and decrease risk of complications. If one doesn't exercise to control diabetes it is like having one hand tied behind one's back in the fight. In the next few days I will post web sources where one can discover more on this topic and mention the critical points each makes.
