Guest guest
Last night was the fifth day of my Armour increase from 2 to 3 grains and still I had a pulse of 112 at bedtime. I have not actually been taking pulse readings since the increase because I find I get anxious when it is high which is, of course, counterproductive for me. Have been taking nibbles of h.c - maybe 2 1/2 at bedtime to help but then have also been taking a ton of sleep medication to knock me out because severe insomnia came hand in hand with the raise. So last night I took less sleep medication and 2 1/2 h/c and is came down to 98. I probably should have taken another 2 1/2 but I really needed to get to sleep as i have to go out this morning (which I have not had the energy to do in recent times). I am wondering how I should proceed. My pulse on awakening was 92 which was a surprise. Mo NOVA Counselling & Healing Services

So do you think I should go to five doses then? At the moment I am taking 5, 5, 5 and 5 with the inevitable xtra five at bedtime to stop the palps so I can sleep. And that means, usually, that the last two doses are pretty close together, maybe taking my fourth dose around 9 pm and extra palp-reducer about 11 - midnight. Mo it sounds like your high pulse is from low cortisol. I always needed a 5MG bedtime dose and felt better with that. Even with an extra 7 1/2 at bedtime last night I still had a pulse of 92 before getting out of bed this morning. ~What to do? I want to keep the strain on my adrenals right down as much as I can with this big raise and I am thinking that if my pulse is that high on waking (even with all that extra at bedtime) then I am straining myself way too much. It helped me sleep MUCH better too. When weaning down this time I found that was the last dose I had to have! Weird huh? But I dropped th least 5MG yesterday. And slept fine without it? I have a little chest congestion today so took a bolus 20MG this morning as I really can't afford to get sick right now Yes I can see that you really do need to look after yourself right now. You ARe getting there though. Any sign of those meds in the post? The insulin you are waiting for? Then next dose at noon, and 4PM and bedtime. Between 4 and bedtime your body uses less cortisol so you should be fine. If you find you are running low then it means your AM doses re too low and you are stealing from your reserves for evening. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Hi Val Well this morning I woke at 8.30 am, tooki my first dose of h.c abut 8.45, then about 12.30. I got home from my morning out and was palping for Ireland an hour after the 12.30 dose so took another 5 mg and still into the 90s. Then 4ish took another dose and then again just half an hour ago. I am expecting more palps at bedtime, if the last few days are anything to go by. So it seems i am running low, should I be looking at taking more first thing? thanks Val. You wrote this for Mo, but I think it applies to my dosing schedule as well. I'm assuming with the above sched that Armour should still be dosed one hour prior to HC? Guest guest
I am wondering if you are having a thyroid dump from going back up on the HC. Are your temps up? If not you may still have to back up that Armour dose and go slower with raising it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Or you could take your armout an hour before your second dose too. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
