Guest guest
Do you know if yams/sweet potatoes are included in the potatoes section? Thanks. --- whomeworry@... wrote: > > Try to avoid vegetables in the nightshade > family. They contain solanine,a > compound that can worsen joint pain! Guest guest
Yams, sweet potatoes and yellow and red potatoes are, so far as I am aware, are OK; white potatoes, all peppers like all bell, jalapeno, and I suppose cayenne, also tomatoes, and egg plant. Also oranges are usually a negative influence as are raw onions. Since we are all a bit unique, this may not apply to all, but it definitely applies to me. I also have problems with the red meats, any form of cows milk and since there is milk in nearly any commercially produced foods, I take some form of dairy aid when exposed. I am a lover of TexMex foods...the peppers, salsa rich in tomatoes, peppers and celery, cheeses, all the sweets...but I'm learning to cut down to nearly NONE of it! lots of fresh fruits, juices, veggies, nuts, legumes, chicken, a bit of cured ham occasionally, and herbal teas, about 16 cups water/juices/fluids daily.. I'm not cured, but better off than before. Also do mild exercises, some strength exercises.. daily. Hope this will be of some help. -- Leona, Lee, Jackie, Tvksi, Granny and Momma. We wish you all the best, ---- Joanne Dubnicka wrote: > Do you know if yams/sweet potatoes are included in the > potatoes section? > Thanks. Guest guest
-- I don't think I made it clear that these are the *bad* for RA foods: white potatoes, all peppers like all bell, jalapeno, and I suppose cayenne, also tomatoes, and egg plant. Also oranges are usually a negative influence as are raw onions. ---- Leona wrote: > > Yams, sweet potatoes and yellow and red potatoes are, so far as I am aware, are OK; white potatoes, all peppers like all bell, jalapeno, and I suppose cayenne, also tomatoes, and egg plant.
