Guest guest
, Great news! What tyoe of T3 are you taking, and how much? I have been off all T4 for 8 weeks now and hoping I start seeing some results soon! Per my doc, I ramped up to 150mcg of SRT3...After 4 weeks I ramped down to 135mcg, stayed there for 2 weeks, and now have gone down to 120 mcgs...I will hold there for 2 weeks and keep doing this until I reach 90 mcgs...and stay on that dose indefinately(We are pretty sure I have a few chronic issues that will make it hard for me to go back on Armour).... I do feel better taking the SRT3, BUT, I can't help but wonder how much better I would feel if I took Cytomel...I plan to talk to my doc when I see him next.... Again, Congrats! I can not wait for this fluid retention to resolve!! Beth J. > > Hey, all, > > 14 weeks to the day of stopping T4 and my swelling is finally receding!!!!! I am so excited!!! My feet don't look like sausages anymore! There is hope, people! Hang in there! > > Funny thing is that I haven't had a period in 3 months (Age 52, menopause !!??) and yesterday, started slight period, swelling got slightly worse, not today, almost gone. Interesting hormone shift, huh? > > Just wanted to share some good news, > Best wishes, > >

Guest guest
Just got my bloodwork back. Ferritin was 19 in December and only went up to 25 this time (aaarrgghh!). Well, at least it improved!! Guess I'll up my iron supps some more! VAL, I know ferritin's not high enough yet, but is it still possible to see improvements? My swelling is waaaay better! Should I hold at the 20 mcgs 4 times/day of T3 still? Until I get the Ferritin up higher? Currently taking 150 mgs. of Chelated Iron. I'll take more! Thanks! Guest guest
i woudl be VERY careful switchign to Cynomel. Your compounded T3 is possibly so weak it is not causing issues with your stil way low Ferritin, but Cynomel wil not have that same response. I woudl start at no more than HALF that dose just to be safe, and that may even be too much . SO go slow! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Got it, Val! I don't want to mess anything up now. I'm doing relatively well. I will definitely follow your advice! Thank you,

Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement, . We are the same age and I am about 9 weeks behind you. I can't wait to lose the swelling. I don't like the extra weight, either, but I can live with it, knowing that the HC is helping my adrenals. Deb in MI > 14 weeks to the day of stopping T4 and my swelling is finally receding!!!!!
