Hi all,

I think that Dawn's question is a very appropriate one for the doctor's

list. I had a perforated uterus during the D & C too, and I would be very

interested to know the chances of a future perforation during a surgery. In

fact, the doctor said that as he removed the retained placenta, he felt

that the uterus at this point was like 'wet bread,' probably due to

inflammation (This is my guess). He also advised me to have a C-Section, if

I succeed in staying pregnant again. Poly also has had two perforations.

Any other case of members with perforations during D & C, hysteroscopies? I

think one member said that she already had an untreated perforation that

was discovered during the hysteroscopy. How about the members that had

C-Section during delivery and hysteroscopies afterwards? I think it would

be good to collect such information for our statistics and our future

prevention. This is certainly something that our doctors should take notice

before performing surgeries to us. Also, as Poly suggested it sounds a bit

strange that the balloon would burst. This is also something to ask the

doctors' list. In general, a question about the risks of perforation during

hysteroscopies, which groups (depending on their background) are more prone

to them, and how this can affect future pregnancies.

Btw, I have not received any message from the new list yet. Are there any

doctors already there?
