Guest guest
Last night on the way home from my yoga class I stopped at a Farmer's Market and got some blueberries and raspberries. When I got home I washed some of the blueberries up and I almost reached for my measuring cup to measure them out! Then I realized I don't have to do that anymore! The past 4 summers I carefully measured out my blueberries because I was on Weight Watchers. It felt so free to just grab a handful and eat them! I LOVE blueberries and I always felt like I couldn't eat as many as I wanted. Well, last night I had a couple handfuls and had enough. Probably equivalent to the cup I used to measure out but when measured in my hand it felt like enough! It was an interesting observation for me and thought I'd share. R Be smarter than spam. Guest guest
I hear ya, For 7 years I went on and off Lo carbing, and felt punished every time cherry season came along because I could have TWO cherries, or really blow it. To think I was willing to put myself through that. A friend of mine was shocked, deeply, while once watching me fret over how eating a few red pepper strips was going to ruin my day. The information in the IE book hits the nail pretty hard, I am definitely brain washed, but LOVING the work required to get over it! Guest guest
I can totally relate to that agonizing feeling of feeling like I was blowing my diet by eating my carbs at the wrong time of day, or at all. I, too, was a compulsive measurer and am finally letting go of this need (which accompanies a loss of calorie counting as well). Congrats on your progress and keep up the good work!!!
