Guest guest
As far as I know, submucosal fibroids are the only kind of fibroids that cah be removed hysteroscopically. I had a D & C (blind & worthless - but at the time I didn't know enough to insist that it be accompanied by a hysteroscopy). Since the D & C was done without a hysteroscopy, I had an office hysteroscopy (by a different gyn), in which we could see the fibroid hanging in the uterine cavity. I also had a transvaginal ultrasound - which was used to assess the size and to see whether my symptoms were caused by one or more of these little critters (it was only one) > Message: 4 > Date: Mon, 28 May 2001 13:27:49 -0500 > > Subject: Re: Re: hysteroscopic resection - size > > , > > The term hysteroscopic implies a " camera " inserted into the vagina, vs. > laparoscopic which implies a " camera " inserted into the abdomen via an > incision.
