-Ruth,

I am so happy things are going much better for . I bet he will

make a speedier recovery at home. Cause there is no place like home

and being in his own bed will do wonders for him.

Please keep us posted.

God Bless!

Did I mention that we brought Mr. home

yesterday???????

That is wonderful news! Does he have an appetite? If he does it shouldn't be hard to get some weight back on him and build up his strength. After my ileostomy surgery when I was 18, I came home very weak after having lost lots of weight. I craved orange sherbet and milk shakes. It didn't take long to get a few pounds back. :) Ruth, make sure you take care of yourself also - get more sleep and take some time for yourself please.

Blessings,

Barby

WHOO HOO! Go ! Home must feel like heaven for both of you. Drink

lots of water and wash all those toxins out, eat your veggies, etc.etc.

OK I won't preach. I am just so darn happy for both of you! What an

awesome thing to read first thing on the national day of PRAYER. It gives

me chills :-) Love, Faith

Ruth,

I see that the rollercoaster ride is still in motion. I have to say I admire

you and how you get through all of this. Watching a sick child is one of the

worst things a mother can go through. I can attest to what the nurses are

saying about . When I was very ill in '97 I went to work (with TPN and

my nutrition running from my backpack) despite the docs telling me repeatedly

to quit working. I felt like it was the last thing I had control over,

besides I wasn't going out without a fight. Sorry to admit but I was 34 at

the time. My mother, like you, was beside herself. Eventually though I gave

in and accepted disability. , I believe, will come to terms with it

eventually and will probably even appologize to his DEAR, SWEET mom!

Take care and know that many people are still praying for you and !

Sincerely,

Ruth,

Thank you so much for keeping us all updated on . I check the

posts continuously to see how he is doing. We will keep praying for

and that a new liver becomes available and he keeps his

strength until then. I am sorry that he is lashing out at you. But

for some reason sons seem to take it all out on " good ole mom " . I

have been in the same situation with Todd. I guess they need to take

their frustrations out on someone and mom seems to be the who is

always there. A mom's love is so unconditional and although we don't

like it, we can handle it. So hang in there. We are all praying for

your strength through this rough time.

God Bless,

Ruth,

Hang on to your sense of humor! I often think that's it's the determining

factor on whether or not we remain sane. So, rub away - it will help sedate

you both. Keep smiling and know that God has a hand on you, and your

lives!

Well Ruth, they say that the person you love the most

is the one you usually lash out at...so if that is

comfort, he must REALLY REALLY love you!

Humor is a good thing, and if it works, sick humor or

not, let it work for you. whatever it takes to get

you through. You should start keeping a diary of

these things and read them all back to him when he is

able to understand it all.

Ruth,

We will continue to pray that s relentless ability to keep on

jugging....keeps on jugging. Most certainly God has had his hand on Him and

will continue to do so.

Hugs and strength to you and your family!

Ruth called last night. She sounded as good as could be

expected. The problem with their insurance

is that had to be on the policy for 2 years before it would of paid out.

He wasn’t.

One thing she

said that really hit home. PSC is a fatal disease. Because had his transplant

they had him in their lives for 8 more months then they would have. She was

also very thankful for the 3 weeks they were able to have him at home. There,

they all could be with him 24/7, wait on him and love him. They are very thankful

for that time alone with him. She

said the service was the most beautiful she had ever seen. 300+ people came. They were really proud and thankful for

all the love and support they received. She said would have loved it. Barb
