Marc,

Unless your wife's liver numbers are really bad, (meaning she needs a liver transplant very soon) a blood test once a month is way too often. Don't be surprised (be happy) if her new doc says anywhere from 6 months to a year. If she is not very ill that much "sticking the vein" wears the little devils out. Of course all this will take place after her new docs stick, poke and take pictures of her to confirm the Dx.

Please tell us her name so we don't have to keep saying she/her/your wife.

Also to answer your other question - the blood counts ( red, white, platelets) are part of this disease. The spleen likes to enlarge itself by eating them.

The doctors in Las Vegas told us that we need to see a specialist and she needs to have blood test once a month. They also want her to see a rheumatologist. Marc
