Guest guest
I am so saddened to hear about your father. I went through a similar situation....while my dad was going through bypass/valve replacement surgery and the recovery...which took 6 months...I was hospitalized with the first episode of cholangitis and PSC. At a critical point they did not expect him to live, and I was in a hospital....NOT the SAME one. I had to secure a day pass to go visit with him. He has passed on as well. , do not underestimate the power of the Lord. He will hold you strong for your mother's sake. I decided I would give an eulogy for my dad. I am not a speaker and hate getting up in front of people. At the last minute I was so sure I would faint or throw up. I leaned over to tell the guy who was officiating, and he said, " you are not up there alone, someone will be holding you up. " Surely as it was, when I got up there and started talking, I felt as though I were lifted off the floor a few inches...I had strength and I was able to deliver my speech without problems. You know that saying, " footprints in the sand " . Well, it wasn't my footprints at the podium!!! Hang in there, prayers will be sent your way, and again, I am so saddened to hear of your dad's passing. from Redwing territory! ===== in Michigan (Dx UC 1984, Dx MISSING COLON 1999, Dx PSC 1997, PSC symptoms 2000) __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Oh , I am so sorry about your Dad. But glad your pollups were benign. Yes Phil's GI also told him that they would turn to cancer if not removed and he's had to have his removed twice. We haven't gotten the results of his yet but am feeling okay since his colonoscopy was done over 2 weeks ago. He goes for followup this week. It is very essential that you have a colonoscopy done every year so they can make sure to get rid of those things if they turn up. Phil's last colonoscopy was clear so it's been over 2 years since his last one. Take care.
