Guest guest
Reese, this is very uncomfortable for you to have to suffer this way Go to your doctor for a complete checkup it could easily be something physical, only a doctor can decide what it is. Lots of luck! Anne
Guest guest
Just wait. At some point in his life, hubby may feel like that (But I seriously hope he doesn't). But when (And if) he does.....you can tell him that its all in HIS head. Sue PS I have Dystonia. But don't pay any attention to me. I forgot to tell people here that I also suffer from a bad case of Warped Sense Of Humor. I have a cure in store for me this week. On July 4th I get to go Monkee around with Mickey Dolenze, Noone, and my fellow Noonatics at a concert in Akron.amhbas <amhbas@...> wrote: Lately I just don't feel right, sometimes I feel like I am going to pass out. Guest guest
Im so sorry that you feel this way! It just might be depression, I would go and talk to your md and see if he can do a depression screening. Depression can actually make you physically ill, so it NOT just all in your head. There really is a problem that needs to be addressed. > > Lately I just don't feel right, sometimes I feel like I am going to > pass out. Guest guest
Be persistent. Go back to your doctor as many times as it takes to convince him/her that something is wrong. Ask for a referral to a specialist about the inflammation. Do some research of your own on inflammation... if it's in one place, it may be elsewhere? And what would be causing the inflammation? And was this diagnosed with a blood test? If so, then your SED Rate would have been higher than normal - around 7 I believe. I've had SED rate of 20 with inflammation before and really really bad inflammation at 110. Ask for a referral to see a psychiatrist. If you truly want to live, you must be proactive!! You are too young to just give up..... and yes, I do understand how depressing it is to not feel right physically and the doctor's don't know what is going on. I was persistent with my doctor 2 years ago when she misdiagnosed me as having pneumonia. Every week I went back to her office.. weaker and weaker every time. After 4 weeks in bed because I was too dizzy and weak to do anything, I finally got to see a specialist. My condition was so bad (83% oxygen level) that the specialist called an ambulance, I was admitted into ICU and 5 days later told to put my WILL together. I have a rare lung disease that was diagnosed with a bronchoscopy and a SED Rate of 110. Had I just given up and not been persistent with my doctor, I surely would have died in my own bed. So, if you have the will to live, you will ignore everyone elses opinions and continue to seek medical assistance. Perhaps you have a close friend or family member who will support you and go to your doctor's appointments with you? After my brush with death, I took a family member with me to every doctor's appointment for over a year! Please update us on your condition. Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well and would just like to add my 2 cents on the possibility of depression ~ I remembering feeling like you, a lot of the time, and, still do too often. I would definitely see your Dr. again, and let him know especially about the living like you were going to die at any second. I would also strongly insist on being tested for thyroid disorder as that can cause depression. All too often we do really know that there is something wrong with our bodies but sometimes it's hard to get others to recognize it too ~ you are the expert on how you feel and know your 'normal' the best of anyone. I hope that you are soon on the road to being back to feeling well again soon!! Hugs, Judy From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of reesie271Sent: Saturday, July 01, 2006 8:10 AM Subject: Re: all in my head? Guest guest
I don't know about intestines being inflammed but I know when my IBS flares up, I feel really sluggish. As long as I stick to a good diet and exercise, I'm alright. Plus with diet, there's so much to study and try that it keeps your mind occupied for the lack of a better word. For me anyhow, it was nice to feel like I was doing what I could to make my symptoms milder rather than taking a medicine with side effects or just living with it like one doctor told me. Hope you get to feeling better. Christy
Guest guest
Hello everyone, X-rays show degenerative joint disease in my upper and lower spine, and believe me I feel the pain. BUT, my feet hurt all the time, like the bones are all broken, when I first get up in the morning, and after sitting for a long time. I got the results of the MRI's of my feet, and they show NOTHING wrong. I can't understand how there can be nothing wrong, unless like someone once said, " it's all in your head " . Arghhhh! Today I had xrays of my feet, I don't understand that either. Why do xrays AND an MRI? Oh well, Friday I will have MRI's done of both hands, that will probably show nothing as well, even though one finger looks like a sausage! The PA in my new rheumy's office agrees with me and does not think that I have LUpus, now she probably won't think that I have RA either. It won't even matter about the meds, I have to take them anyway for all of the liver issues. THOSE the drs. know that I have. This should be an interesting follow up visit. Guest guest
Hey Patsy, I am sorry you are struggling so - - I've been going over that 'it's all in my head' thing too.....as I prepare myself to try and find the neccessary insurance coverage and a doctor or doctors who will listen to me.... My feet hurt me badly as well - so much so sometimes I wonder if I am going to be able to walk for the pain....and it's not getting better - only worse.... Take care and keep your chin up... Guest guest
I seriously don't believe it's in my head, at least not the 'mental state' of my head. My last rheumy told me that it was coming from my back. I'll wait and see what the new dr thinks next month. I am thinking that maybe I haven't had any joint damage yet because I've only been having trouble for about 18 months, thanks to long-term prednisone use. RA doesn't cause immediate damage to joints, does it? Also, I've been on plaquenil and Imuran since they dx the RA, maybe that's why there is nothing on the MRI. It's just frustrating!
