Guest guest
Think of it this way, Jorjana...do you love pizza more than you love your sight? your feet? your heart? And...if you can cut back seriously on the carbs for a longer period of time -- like a week or more - the carb cravings will Go Away. Really. Guest guest
<<I thought the stomach problems were related to the diet. I am not getting enough veggies - I know it. I've started to incorporate more low-carb veggies into each meal. I eat a salad every day now and usually green beans or spinach with dinner. I need to take my fiber supplement more often too. I did have diarrea for 8 weeks straight but now I'm constipated. Lovely conversation topic. I was really sick to my stomach all the time - like wanting to throw up - but that has subsided. And the worst part is, when I feel that way I don't want meat, cheese, eggs or veggies, I want chicken noodle soup and TOAST! Are the stomach issues the reason you can't stay on it more than a week? Or is it that you are hungry and/or have cravings? BOTH!!! ARGH!! I am definitely hungry with cravings. I LOVE pizza. I LOVE the crust. I LOVE MExican food including the chips and salsa. It's making me insane! >> When you stop the carbs or cut down and then you eat alot of carbs, it will make you feel very sick. Magnesium will relieve the constipation. The cravings go away in about 3 or 4 days. You will also be suprisingly not hungry. Make chicken soup with chicken broth and chicken, celery, onion and leave off the noodles. Have a few pork rhinds with it. Get on a low-carb recipe list. Drink lots and lots of water. Under 30 carbs a day you should be able to lower meds pretty soon, just watch it. Guest guest
Jorjana, I forgot one thing about loving all the high carb food. I love and miss it also, but you will find the longer you go on low-carb and then you cheat it will make you sick feeling and your blood sugar will go up. The more this happens the less you will love the food. I have eliminated so much food now that I find I really never liked anyway. But, I do still cheat occassionally and it has got to be something I really like. It does get easier. Phyllis

Guest guest
Lovely conversation topic. >>>>>>>>> Don't feel bad. . .I'm used to it. When a bunch of us dog people go out to dinner after a show or whatever we have to speak quietly so as not to gross out the people sitting near us:-) That usually loudens up after the wine bottle has been passed around a few times. The conversation typically runs from dog poop quantity and quality to deworming meds and C sections, I won't even bother you with the really gross stuff:-) Art Art Mc moseart@...
