Guest guest
I have found Lunesta to work well. I agree with the recommendation of walking also. Good luck! Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: <betnden@...> > I'd love to have a good night's sleep. How do I find it? My mind is often a hamster wheel at night. I've been working on finding boring things to think about, not easy when your mind wants to hop and skip around. I've done counting, but not steadily up, like 1,2, 3 to 100. More like 1-20 and then 1-20 over and over again so I can't tell how many times I've done it. I've also tried to picture a " happy place " , but I just can't do it. If' I'm on the beach, I worry about the other tourist coming up behind me, etc. So sometimes I will picture gently swaying the hammock, just the swaying part, otherwise, I'm afraid I'd find other things that bothered me. Once I can tell these have worked a bit at settling my mind, I focus on my breathing, in, out, in out. Sometime after I start that, I do fall asleep. It's take months, and months of working at this to see any kind of results. So if you try it for a week, and it doesn't work, don't give up, keep trying, and maybe it will eventually help you. Oh, and I do take Ambien, but my mind can keep it from working within a couple of hours if it's hamstered wheeled enough. That's why I try to do the mental things too. Calms things down enough to give the Ambien a chance to do it's thing. Darcy
Guest guest
Just after the Medicare Part D started and I was using the initial $600 credit, I decided to pursue this problem, I was given a script for Ambien. It did seem to work, but it was way too expensive! Medicare Part D doesn't cover it as a co-pay and it's more than $200 per month, so I had to quit taking it. Last night I finally took 3 pills and it seemed to help me go to sleep and I didn't wake up until 10 this morning. Maybe that should be the magic dosage. I definitely feel better today. It made me sick, I took half a pill each night for two nights. I could not sleep on it and all my extremities went numb during the second day and I was sweaty, jittery, and miserable... I wonder if it was because I gave up the clonezepam? It was if I was on withdrawal? Would you go through withdrawal if you gave up taking one 2 mg pill per night? Pris, puzzled, as usual! ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Someone on another group just did that, and had the same problems. It was withdrawal for her. Darcy
