Guest guest
Hi s, Have you checked out used clothing stores? I don't know where you live but there's probably at least a Goodwill around. Even when I could afford to buy new clothes at " nice " stores, I continued shopping at Goodwill and used/consignment clothing stores because most of my favorite clothes (including a pair of jeans that fit me like a glove, an experience I have yet to repeat anywhere else) have come from places like those. The shoes I wore at my wedding came from the Goodwill in San Francisco. Garage/tag/yard sales (if you have them near where you live) are especially good for finds like those; clothing of all sizes, some never worn or worn only once, which cost hundreds of dollars in stores but $2-$5 at a yard sale. I just love finding a bargain! Also, check out eBay. in WA (new list member) > I baught some new clothes for summer recently at one of these stores > that have really, really cheap clothes. I was lucky that they also carry > at least something in plus sizes (though of course it's only a little > section in the shop and the real cute stuff isn't available in larger > sizes). Anyway, the clothes look good but I still have a bad conscience > because I couldn't *really* afford it.
