Guest guest
, I think boredom with this diet is our worst enemy. How about having some deli ham with mayo spread on it and a nice piece of swiss cheese. I just love that. Also make some chicken wings. Another thing I do when I get bored with the regular stull is I boil achicken with a little onion and celery until it is well done. I eat the chicken and make broth out of the rest . It is very tasty and a little bit of a variety. How about making a meat loaf with hamburger, onions, crushed bacon puffs, egg and cream. You could put some bacon on top and bake it. Or make meat balls out of the hamburger mix them bake them with your home made cream of mushroom soup. I love to cook so I don't get too bored. go thru your atkins book and see if there is anything there you might like. Hope I helped you out a little. Guest guest
Go to CelebrateLowCarb on egroups and prowl Di's recipe files. Most of her stuff is themed for special occasions so there are lots of special recipes that might tweak your interest. I know that usually when I cook, the meat is plain, as are the veggies. Sometimes it helps just to find a new sauce to try out or a new combination. Kirstie

Guest guest
> , I think boredom with this diet is our worst enemy. How about Yes, boredom with cooking and eating the same things can do you in. Just try to spice it up with some simple variations... Maybe with your steak or chicken, saute up some mushrooms and add some cream and pepper and make sort of a cream sauce to go with it... sprinkle grated parmesean cheese over your chicken breast... Add some tomatoe sauce (no sugar of course) and add some italian seasonings... (I just did this one and it was such a treat from just the plain old chicken breast!) But just try simple things like making a sauce to go over it, or cook it in different spices... Just a little something different so it doesn't get totally boring. You might also want to think about getting Dr. Atkins Low Carb cook book and check out some of the recipes... even though you may not be a cook or like to cook a lot, it may give you some ideas on things you can fix to give you some variety. =) HTH! =) Love and Hugs,Kelli from Texas =)"Atkins Paladin"234/197/125 Atkins 8/26/
