Positive Lives Foundation (PLF) is a non-profit, non-governmental Community Based Organization of, for and by People Living with HIV/AIDS in Goa. It was formed by small group of dedicated and experience people living with HIV/AIDS from Goa in 23rd may 2002, with a vision. (Under Society Registered). We are based in Vasco city and have been working in the entire state of Goa for the past four and half years. Our activities include Awareness, Prevention programs on HIV/AIDS, Care & Support, Counselling, Training, Education, and Advocacy. The membership of PLF is open to all people living with HIV/AIDS in Goa, presently we have 312 members who are living with HIV/AIDS. The objectives of PLF are to provide a voice for HIV positive people, increasing the level of visibility of the epidemic for PLHA and the general community in Goa. The mission of PLF is to promote a sense of belonging & render necessary care and support services to PLHA across the state and enable them to improve their overall quality of lives in particular and society in general. Positive Lives Foundation (PLF) is supported by Goa State AIDS Society for April-2006 - March-2007 for Drop-In-Centre in North Goa The Positive Lives Foundation (PLF) has several job vacancies to fill resulting from a new project in the State of North Goa. The goal of the project is to improve the quality of lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and to prevent further HIV transmission in Goa. The timeframe of the project is April 2006 until March 2007. The job vacancies are as follows: Programme Manager -01 Nos Out Reach Workers -04 Nos, Professional Counsellor -01 Nos Office Asisstant / Accountant -01 Nos _______________________________________________ Project Coordinator Salary: Rs 8500 per month Location: North Goa The Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall project management. Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: • Either MBA or MSW degree • 03 Years experience in working on HIV/AIDS projects • Knowledge of sexual, health and ethical issues • Good Communication Skills • Experiences in Team Management • Fluent in English • MS Office Knowledge __________________________________ Professional Counselor Salary: Rs 6500 per month Location: North Goa The Professional Counselor is responsible to counsel the parents, guardians and children. Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: • Master degree in Social Work or Psychology or sufficient experience in the field of Social Work or Psychology • Working experience or at least trained in counseling • Experience in working with HIV positive people • Good communication skills __________________________________ Outreach Worker Salary: Rs 4500 per month Location: North Goa The Outreach Worker is responsible for individual project activities. Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: • Minimum school education is 10 + 2 years • Experience in working on HIV/AIDS projects for at least 2 years • Good Communication Skills HIV positive status is preferred. __________________________________ Office Assistant cum Accountant Salary: Rs 6000 per month Location: North Goa The Accountant is responsible for the financial arrangements of the project. Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: • Degree in B COM • Minimum 3 years experience in maintaining double accounts system • Knowledge in Tally as well as MS Office Programs • Fluent in English __________________________________ Candidates should have at least 03 years of Experience in Care and support programmes.
