, definitely don't despair, you have a very similar case to mine and I am pregnant now. But, you really need to see an A list doc. Where do you live and is there one near you. You most certainly do have a case that is operative. My first two docs said the same to me after a hyst/lap...that I was inoperative. Then I went to an A list doc and he cleared me up in one surgery w/o a lap!!! Mine problem was severe blockage at the bottom of the uterus and the front and back were adhered together, but my A list doc found a normal compartment at the top of my uterus.

I, unlike you had NO cramps and very light spotting for about a day during my periods. You do have healthy endometrium in there and if it's up at the top of your uterus then you have a better prognosis for no rescarring. So, if I were you don't make the same mistake so many of us has made, going to the wrong doctor first. I hope you are able to see someone qualified soon. He may be able to fix you up in one surgery and then you would be done with it. It's truly worth it. Anyway, let us know where you live and lets get you some good news for a change.

But then he said that honestly he doesn't know whether the surgery I need can be performed. I was stunned by this and never got a good reason for this comment. He suggested a combined lap/hyst.

This is similar to the experience I had with the first RE I saw- he told me that even if the scarring was just at the uterus they may not be able to get in- that's when he mentioned hysterectomy!- Like everyone here suggested I RAN to an A list Dr- someone suggested by Dr Olive- and I loved him!- He never once mentioned that this might not be able to be done- or that I'd need a lap/hyst either- he did an us and could se basically that the top of my uterus was functioning and the lower 2/3 were scarred- with an endometrial stripe- so he's going to aim to cut through to that stripe-- I sure hope you seek a second opinion- and don't give up hope- You still may have a relatively small problem- and just need a good Dr- and yes- the cramping is good!

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you- my prayers are coming your way!!!

Dear , I had scar tissue that blocked the majority of my uterus as

well. I under went hyster/lap and after the Drs cut through the scar tissue

that actually looked like a septum they found a hugh cavity behind the

septum. Although that portion of the uterus looked awful.... they treated

me with hormones for six months and low and behold I am pregnant.... and

would you like to guess where???? In the portion of the uterus that was

BEHIND the scar tissue that was rebuilt with hormone therapy!!!!!! So hang

in there. Find the BEST Dr you can.... even if you have to ravel. My Drs

are in Washington D.C.... where are you?
