I am allergic to three of the six chemicals that are lumped by the word

" fragrance " (Balsam of Peru, wood tars, and cinnamides/cinnamic aldehyde).

I have found that Almay has a deodorant that purports itself to be fragrance

free (and those of you who share these allergies understand that " unscented "

is not equal to " fragrance free " ). However, even Almay must be very strong

chemically--even with this, I occasionally get a pink armpit. When that

happens, I try to go a day or so without--I have yet to locate a fragrance

free powder, but I use a little corn starch sometimes as dusting powder.

Only problem is that our cats must be able to smell it... they try to eat it

when it is out on the bathroom counter. <g>

I am interested in the mineral rock--I've seen that in the stores, but have

not ever tried it... looks a little like " snake oil " to me. But, I'm

willing to try it if it will work!

FYI.... I use Basis soap (the white kind) and Free & Clear shampoo.
