Guest guest
I've never had one so I'm not sure that I am the best to respond to your questions about recovery. BUT, I believe you said that this would be in the hospital under general anesthetic right? Being under general anesthetic can take a while to get over. It usually knocks me out for a couple of days. I would have it done on a Thursday or Friday and plan to " lay low " for the rest of the weekend and possibly return to work on Monday if you're feeling up to it. Another quick comment - in my last message I talked about having a diagnostic hysteroscopy and then being referred to Dr. Vilos. I meant to add that that might be necessary if it's the only way you can get a referral to Dr. Vilos. BUT, there is definitely something to be said for having a diagnostic HYST that can be " converted " to an operative HYST if they see some scarring. Otherwise, you have to go through being under general anesthetic twice and have to have your cervix dialted to insert the hysteroscope twice...it's a lot of wear and tear on your body - and it's more time. Perhaps you can go see Dr. Vilos for your first hysteroscopy and then, depending on what he sees, he can " convert " to an operative one if he needs to so you only have to go through it once. Just some thoughts. Gwen __________________________________________________
