Guest guest
Well, My surgery got cancelled. I was scheduled for the 8th. But, I have gotten a full heavy period (started yesterday)!!!! We called my RE. He said that we should re-schedule the surgery as he thinks that I have adhesions that need to be lysed. I am so confused now. I was told I have severe Asherman's syndrome, but with a heavy period, that can't be true. Would it be possible to have a normal period with moderate or mild adhesions? Or was the diagnosis incorrect???? Any thoughts? I just don't know what to think (or do). Should I re- schedule? Thanks for your input. Kari > Kari, you were going to have surgery tomorrow. I wish you all the best and hope you get better news than I did. Please let us all know how it goes. > > Poly
Guest guest
Kari, That is great news about your period. I was told that the period will direct you in the way of how serious your scarring is. I was also told that if the scarring is only mild, it is sometimes best to leave it alone. My recommendation is to wait and see how this period goes and then probably wait for next month's period too. It may be that simple and you may not even need a surgery. Perhaps to ease your mind, you would like to get a HSG to see what's going on in there. Perhaps your ob/gyn was right about being overtreated. Lets hope she is right.
