Just to let you know, from Iowa, we aren't laughing! We here have what we

call, first snow multi accidents because no one has their winter " feet "

persay........and we also know that you folks have no winter equipment as

in salt/sand trucks like we do up here..........hang in there, men are

daredevils and always seem to make it thru these things with fun stories on

the other end............take care Annie

Hope all is well this morning. I'm just north of Lake Texoma and there

has been 2 trucks come by since 5 a.m. so we're in the same boat you

are. I'm glad that I don't have to drive anymore to work, I'd freeze

up too.

hang in there, it will melt soooooon.

Angie,

I hope all is well. Just because those of us further north have to deal

with this stuff on a more regular basis doesn't mean we don't understand

what you went through last night. Hope your DH made it home safe and sound.

Congratulations on the 4 pound loss! Glad you hung in there to see it

happen. Now just keep plugging along and see what you can do to get me to

follow my own advice.

I think I need my R & R. No, not rest and relaxation (that sounds good too),

but I need Robin and Rhonda who are supposed to be reporting in daily on

their goals to lose 10 pounds by year end. I am really failing right now

and the downhill slide has gotten worse ever since those two went AWOL on

me. Come back, come back, where ever you are!

Don't you hate that self sabatoge thing?/ I had a rough week last week

as my best friends MIL died and we went to Wichita Falls for the

funeral. Needless to say the food was NOT LC , and I subcombed to soft

tacos at Casa Manna (sp) which I used to live on in the olden days

when I lived there. Next day continental breakfast at the hotel, pizza

on the way home.

But I'm back down to 212 this morning after only5 days. ( was 219

after the trip).

I added UFM and Dp back in and it seems to help.

Right now I'm looking out at the ice and sleet covered landscape and

sipping decaf vanilla nut coffee spiked with Watkins cinnamon extract,

cream,Splenda. MMMMM decadent.

Haven't heard from my mom today, guess she is snowed in too since SE

Mn. got the same stuff you did..

What's for lunch??

Nan, I am so sorry to hear of your friend's MIL. Eating really is a

product of our emotions, isn't it.

Oh, I have failed big time at my 10 pounds off goal by New Years. I

was down to 136 Thanksgiving morning and have not been able to make

myself be good ever since. I get through a day or two, then bam,

big time cheat. I was already up because of TOM, then last night

after doing a financial aid presentation at the local high school I

went to a Christmas Party at the college president's new home. We

have been hearing about this home for the past year while it was

being built and I could not pass up my first opportunity to see it.

After all, if I change jobs, it may also be my last opportunity.

Well, the home was absolutely gorgeous, my guess is that the resale

value would be over a million dollars and the president and his wife

are donating a percentage of the ownership to the college every year

they are planning to stay. When he leaves the college will own

the home and it will be an incredible draw for future presidents.

I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the home while I had

a chance. Of course, they had food available everywhere! Three

floors of decadent food just waiting to be consumed. I didn't have

a chance against that! LOL

Well, lunch will be chicken and a salad. Gotta go.

Jump back in and don't regret the past falls. it makes it worse. I

would be in the same shape if I could drive to town every time I saw a

tv commercial for food. And I wouldn't have passed on the house tour

and food either, I don't think any one of us would have.

Hugs,

Well shoot. I was hoping you had forgotten about me. ;-)

I have not been doing too well. I can hang in there for

a day or two and then I start cheating again. =-( I went from

160 to 165 to 160 and now I'm at 162. (and feeling pretty lucky

to be at 162 =-P)

Thanks for remembering me =-)

Robin,

Nothing like failing myself to make me remember that others are supposed to

be keeping me in line! LOL You sound just like me, I can make it for a

short period of time, but it seems the first time anything is around that I

should not eat, boom, there I go. I keep reminding myself that it has to be

water weight, but Ugh!!!

Well, my husband made it home just fine. This morning all that's left is

refreeze on bridges, overpasses, etc. Sorry I haven't been able to respond

before now. For some reason my msn.hotmail was not working all day

yesterday. I must say I know realize the true value in this list. I

couldn't make contact yesterday and must admit that I faltered. My little

girl requested a canadian bacon/pineapple insider pizza from Pizza Hut. I

had two pieces. I checked later and the strip had just a slight hint of

pink to it. I guess I didn't go completely over the edge. I know I've read

that it doesn't matter how much in ketosis you are, but mine seems to be

hanging on by a thread this time. Also, the 4 lb loss...I sadly discovered

I was incorrect. I went to weigh yesterday and noticed the dial was

slightly off of the 0. I adjusted it and low and behold, right back where I

was. Arrrrrghh the aggrivation. I guess that led to my pizza binge.

Anyway, I'm back on track today, but not with much passion.
