leg cramping can also be a big sign that you are not getting enough

water............or viamins..........take 2 multi's a day to be sure you are

getting everything you are not getting from your diet.....this can be a

major problem if you don't suppliment especially until you go

maintaence..........Annie

That's a good idea too. I am REALLY bad about taking daily medication of

any kind. Although leg cramps (and constipation..how embarrassing) have

been major incentives not to forget. I did go immediately after work

yesterday and get some potassium gluconate. My legs cramps subsided within

an hour or two and haven't came back. Another odd thing is that I was a

little dizzy and light headed feeling yesterday too and that went away with

the cramps. Go figure?

Barbie,

Potassium in one form or another will have an immediate impact on muscle

cramping in the legs. I prefer to take one supplement a day, others prefer

to use light salt or eat veggies high in potassium. However you decide to

get your potassium, please know that it will help really, really fast.

Be careful taking potassium if you are on any type of hormone medication

(and maybe some other kinds of meds). The one I'm on causes my body to hold

on to potassium, so I'm not allowed to add potassium in any form to my diet.

If I added potassium, I would risk liver disease.
