48 thats is very scarey does anyone know what his stats where ?psa ? gleason ? my prayers are with his family. I am now 45 diagnosed 2 years ago gleaon 8 psa now 66 no treatment or problems as of yet !

Folks, here's what I have observed about " Allstar003 " for the past several years;- he pops up on the board every several months- he appears to be content that he is not under going treatment- his number continue to rise

- your comments will not induce him to seek helpNot sure what it will take....?Just my two cents......

Great minds think alike. , my stats weren't nearly as bad as yours and when I got the results of my prostate ultrasound back around Labor Day of last year, and in every discussion I've had with the dozens of doctors I've met with since, I've told every one of them that I wanted to be as aggressive as possible in dealing with this disease.

To be as young as you are and have your diagnosis << 45 diagnosed 2 years ago gleason 8 psa now 66 >> is indicative of an extremely dangerous disease. Tom

is correct, Allstar003 has quite a history here. I regret to

say that he appears to be resigned to do nothing about his disease,

although in the early messages he apparently was going to doctors and

having tests. He possibly is also an alcoholic, which may explain

some of this. We should all hold him in our prayers.

As my saturday night in LA(los angels) Is about to begin,I would like

to throw my 1 cent in about prostate cancer being the best cancer to

have,first I am 43 with advanced,out of the barn,tiger,not pussy cat

type of prostate cancer..my gleason is 8 and psa 28 up from 20 in feb

of 06. Lets see...I have had no treatment to this point but I am

trying to think what my silver lining is. If I have the proposed

treatment...hormone and Imrt radiation I am going to have some

difficulties or will i be the first guy to have no side effects,my dad

died of Pca at age 67 after testicle removal and hormone treatment,he

did not have the advantage of the fancey stuff we have today....still

looking for the silver here guys....I work,worry,try to stay sober..oh

I forgot to mention that I am a sober member of AA and i will have ten

years in march...I think I have a good reason to relapse LOL ! sorry

cancer...not toay. I have shared in meetings (AA) that " I have a life

I dont deserve because all my dremas have come true...... "

to " out " this man? We all have the independent ability to look up

old posts and arrive at our own conclusions. It seems if you're not

judging someone for their choice of treatment modality then you judge
