If you only eat 5 servings a soy a week, and your a vegetarian, what do

you eat for protien? If you see advertising for soy products on tv, or

magazines, or on the products themselves. they are recomending 25 grams

of soy protien a day. For example if you choose soy milk that would be

3 servings a day, which comes to 21 per week. Whatever soy product you

choose you'd have to consume several servings a day, to meet the

required recomendation. Maybe the problem is they are recomending to

much.

We don't need nearly as much protein as the media would have us believe. Meat has traditionally complimented the meal in most cultures. In America, meat is the meal, sometimes 3 times a day. To answer your question, I eat dairy (cheese, yogurt) and eggs and beans in addition to soy. I also eat a lot of vegetables. I make stir-frys with beans (sometimes tofu) and rice or lo mein. I make pasta in lots of ways (some is fortified with protein) soups with beans and veggies, chilies. I make quiche with eggs, cheese and spinach/mushrooms or other veggies. I make an asparagus flan with different cheeses. I make spinach lasagna. And there are tons of soy products out there so I don't get bored. I try to eat a wide variety of foods.
