Hi Steph,

Thanks for the welcome, seeing you have Juvenile RA with adult

persistence does that mean you were extremely young when first

diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis?

Are the drugs you take anti inflammatories?

I have taken so many over the years, and as a result have had many

stomach probs. I don't really won't to go back on them. As I said I am

hoping I can have some injections.

Nice to hear from you.

  • 10 months later...

What wonderful news Steph! I can't wait for the day when my tests

are back to normal.

There were many times in the beginning that I was frustrated that my

tests were negative yet I still felt crappy. When I finally got test

results which showed issues, I wished for the days of normal test

results.

Sounds like you are on the right track to getting your health back.

It takes awhile. I really started noticing some glimpse of my old

self around 6-8 months post-explant. By no means am I healthy but I

feel better than I did before explant.

Hang in there. Congrats on the WBC, I know that was bugging you.

Thanks but I'm scared that since I feel so crappy those results will

end up changing. Did your test results show issues before you were

explanted or after? If after, about how long after? Sorry for all of

the questions. I'm glad that you finally got answers today at your

dr's appt.

I just did the saliva adrenal test so I should get my results back in

a few weeks. My ND first tested my cortisol by blood and it was high.

He said since I have cortisol issues I should actually be taking

Cytomel for my thyroid instead of armour right now. He thinks it'll

work better but I don't know if my dr will switch it. If not, I'll

have to get it online somewhere.

Steph,

The tests I had were pre-explant. They have gotten a teeny tiny bit

better since explant but I am still not in the normal range. I will

be a year post-explant on 4/15. So, it is taking a long while. I

have noticed flares lately but I have also had a nipple surgery and

my root canel/tooth removed. So my body has been through trauma and

it is harder for me to heal with my auto-immune issues.

I will be excited to see what your saliva results show.

You can only ask your MD and show him the results. Try not to stress

but really it takes time. More time than I ever thought, but

patience was key for me. I know it is easier said than done - I want

my life back too.

Hugs, Lynn

PS... how was your weekend away with the hubby?

So the tests you had that showed issues were before explant? How long

did it take for the issues to show? I'm glad that they've gotten a

little better since explant. I've only been explanted for 3 months so

I'm hoping within a few months I'll start to feel better.

I'll let you know what the saliva tests results are. Thank god for

credit cards!

Lynn, I almost forgot to tell you about New Hampshire! The condo was

really nice. The mountains were beautiful. It was cold and snowing,

but we went ice skating, snow shoeing, and snow tubing. The resort

that we stayed at also had sleigh rides that were pulled by

australian horses. It was so cute. We did go on the sleigh ride but

it was freezing. It was nice to get away to be alone. We needed that

and I needed time away from the laptop. My hubby has been so

supportive and patient with me.

Steph,

I had implants for more than 7 years. I didn't notice issues until

about 2 years ago, started with hip pain that nobody could figure

out.

Then in December of 06 my health took a dive. I had brain fog,

memory loss, anxiety, depression, severe joint pains, joint stiffness

(felt like I was 100 years old - not kidding), muscle weakness,

fatigue and more. I went from a very athletic out-going person to

bed bound in 1 MONTH!! So I went to the doctor.

This is when they ran all the tests because they thought I had

Rheumatoid Arthritis due to the joint pains. All the tests showed

auto-immune issues but none specific to a certain disease. My

thyroid antibodies were 350!! I think normal is like 1-20 or

something like that. So, my body had turned on the thryoid.

Yes, I am getting better and some days are much better than others.

When I am strict with my diet, I feel much better. Now that I now

what foods too eat, I hope I feel even better.

You'll feel better, it just takes time, detox and good diet.

Wow Lynn, we do have a lot in common. I'm glad that your step-dad is

doing much better. I do feel like now my step-dad is watching over me

and I have an angel.

Hi Lynn, I found out that the rest of my tests are in so I have an

appt on Tuesday morning with the dr. I'm just so nervous because I

actually feel worse than I did before being explanted. Most of the

symptoms that I have came after explant. Did you feel worse after

explant too?

Steph . .. Stressing can make you feel worse. . . Please find some way to put your mind at ease until you get into see your doctor. We've seen woman after woman get better. Some do get temporarily worse after explant. We always hope they won't - but it happens. Please keep working on figuring things out for yourself. Your doctor will have your test results. But he really doesn't have a clue about what it's like to live in YOUR body.Hugs and prayers,Rogene

Steph,

No, I feel much better than I did pre-explant. I thought I was going

to die when I had the implants in, seriously. I am not better but I

am better than I was with implants.

Please let me know how your appt goes. Sorry to hear you are feeling

worse.

Prayers and hugs, Lynn

Hi Lynn, I'll let you know how it goes. My appt is at 10:00 Tues

morning. I can't wait to get my portable FIR sauna. It should be

shipped by Wed. I want to try to get in it at least 3 times a week.

How are you feeling today?

Hey Steph,

Let me how you feel after using the sauna. I really want to try

one!!

I hope you get the answers you are looking for on Tuesday. I know it

is frustrating not knowing how to get better.

I am ok. Think I am getting a cold, but nothing too bad. It is hard

to sit too (ha ha). Other than that I slept really good last night!

Oh and my hubby had a dream I was pregnant. Boy, I wish I was - it

is his birthday tomorrow, wouldn't that be a nice present.

Have a wonderful day!! Hugs, Lynn

Lynn,I've found that, if I load up on Echineca at the first sign of a cold, I don't come down with one. . . It doesn't do any good if I start taking it after the cold has caught up with me.. . Then it's time for Zinc. . ..Zinc is in many cough drops now.Hugs,Rogene
