Ravindra Kalashetra, Bangalore. Jeeva, Jeevana, Nammadu is the first of its kind theatre performance in Karnataka where People Living with HIV and AIDS form part of the cast enacting the play alongside professional theater artists. Jeeva, Jeevana, Nammadu focuses on the important issue of discrimination of people afflicted with HIV / AIDS. Guests of Honour: Natarathnakara Master Heeraniah A renowned stage artist, has penned, directed and acted several plays. His most popular and ever green stage plays like Lanchavatara & Devadasi have already been staged more than 1000 times. His Troop Hirannayya Mitra Mandali is a renowned theater group at both national and international level.. Mitra Mandali founded by his father late K. Hirannayya focuses on social issues sensitively. His legendary play Devadasi deals with the plight of women who are into sex trade from different perspectives. Though this play was staged decades ago, still it is contemporary. Sri Tirudas, Director, Sri Krishna Kalakshetra, ISKON, Bangalore. ISKON”s social commitment towards education, health, free mid day meal to marginalized students etc is well known.. We are inviting Sri Tirudas on this occasion to be with us and disseminate the message through his Faith based internationally acclaimed Institution ISKON. Fr. Kannan, Executive Director, Summanahalli Leprosy Rehabilitation Center. Fr. is a National Award winner for the best employer Chief Guests; K.C. Ramamurthy IPS, IGP Commissioner, Department of Youth Services and Sports, Government of Karnataka. Is an educationist and involved with various kind of development activities like adopting PHCs, supporting marginalized schools etc. Through his department also has launched campaign about HIV AIDS awareness. Yamuna Murthy Dramatist, Radio Artist and Writer. She is involved with scripting of radio skits focusing on HIV along for All India Radio, Saarathi etc. Ka. Ta. Chikkanna, Joint Director, Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka. Chikkanna is a renowned writer in Kannada literature. His concern towards oppressed , marginalized people has been portrayed sensitively through his literary work.
