Guest guest
Ahhhhh, but we're not talking about trying to protect the liver. I was talking about putting weight on - after the liver gets to the point of "Who Cares" about the disease and worries more about the weight gain. Barb In Texas avocado Because of its high fat content -- 16%while most other fruits have 1% or less! -- it has about 50 calories per ounce. But it's unsaturated fat so it can be enjoyed... sparingly. Guest guest
Barb, I know that you were more concerned about weight gain. Remember I copied this from a diet place. I'm just saying that avocados are a fairly nutritious high source of calories. Plus they're yummy. Take care, Eileen sPSC - 1996, UC - 1977 P.S. - Too bad Kendall didn't shoot a yesterday (she's been such a b* & %h lately.

Guest guest
Ya but clogging the ducts with fat and causing cholangitis attacks isn't going to help anything. So I still think we should avoid the bad fats, just glad to know that avacados aren't the real bad stuff. Also got to watch salt (taco chips) if you are at end stage and have to watch water retention. Isn't this fun. What a crap shoot. Guest guest
Ya but clogging the ducts with fat and causing cholangitis attacks isn't going to help anything. If I have any fat at all 'good' or 'bad' I get really ill and am laid up for nearly a week, sometimes it starts off another round of cholangitis. Pity, there is so many yummy things that are loaded with fat. Chips, chocolate, cakes,.. no I won't say any more my mouths beginning to water.:~) Barbara (UK)
