(took my mind off it) and then DONE. No pain afterwards. spot bleeding for 2 days. Endo biopsy question Dear Ladies, I am scheduled for a hysteroscopic resection to remove my 3cm submucosal " friend " on July 11. Next week I have to go into my gyno for an endometriol biopsy. I keep hearing conflicting answers on whether these hurt or not. I have heard mildly uncomftorable to downright painful. My doctor recommend I take 3 Advil before the procedure. I did that. She said she'd be quick. She was. But, those few seconds she was doing the actual procedure were still a bit hard to take. There was cramping. I handled it okay at first but near the end it was getting a bit hard to handle. Thank goodness it was over then. I had some spotting afterwards. My first period after the procedure was a little heavier than normal and started a couple of days early. This month I started early again and the flow is quite a bit heavier. I don't know if the problems I'm having now are related to the endo. biopsy or if this is something related to the stress I've been under for the last week or so (house flooding). It could just be that my fibroids are starting to show increased symptoms (instead of just sitting back and being nice till I make it to menopause...darned those things anyway). I am hoping the dr will say I am a good candidate for this. I had an endometrial biopsy in the dr's office and it felt like a cramp when he went through the cervix. It really wasn't bad. If this test were positive I would have to rethink my options. After reading all the info on this website I am confidant that all my bleeding is being caused by my fibroid. I had lupron twice now and I haven't been bleeding for three weeks, it's wonderful! I am hoping that the dr. I will be seeing on thurs will tell me that he can do the resection. My dr doesn't do them or when he did it wasn't that often. I live in Ringwood, upper passaic county near the n.y. state border. I did have a lot of pain from the procedure and during the biopsy especially when the radiologist was inserting the needle through my stomach into the fibroid I had stabbing pains that went from my belly button down into the pubic area and I had to indure this 4 times before he had enough tissue to send to get tested. After the procedure I keep on getting sharp stabbing pains to the right side of my belly button that started about 1 to 2 hours after the procedure and everytime I moved it really hurt, I was like that for a few days on movement but the sharp stabbing pains lasted off and on for a couple of months afterwards. The results of the biopsy came back negative which was a relief. I think my period was a little bit heavier than usual. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
