Guest guest
, I was given a full anaesthesia, didn´t worry me at all, it took 45 minutes, I felt fine afterwards, just these shoulder aches (which now I know are a good sign of open tubes, so last surgery I really wanted them :-)). There was no difference to the hysteroscopy before when they had not used the laser. I could have worked the day after but decided to take it slowly. I would strongly suggest that a laser treatment can only be " perfect " if the surgeon is skilled with the instrument. Naturally this goes for any surgery but my unprofessional idea is that with a hot laser damage can be done quickly. The team of surgeons at my clinic decided to ask only one particular colleague to do my surgery. I am glad they did. One thing I do not understand when reading your mail to Gwen: If your adhesions are " only " in the cervix and lower part of uterus then normally a laser treatment is not necessary. They propose it only with AS grade III to IV, like in my case two thirds of the uterus were full of adhesions and he would not have been able to get rid of them with microscissors only. So again: why do they want to use the laser in your case? And another thought: your surgeon obviously is going to use saline as an extending medium instead of CO2 gas. Why? Or is there another reason for using saline fluid? Thanks for your nice words at the end of your mail. Corinna
