You've been through a lot. Have you been with the same rheumatologist all along? Maybe getting a second opinion would be a good idea. " , I haven't. The thing is, is one of the two most highly recommended rheumies in the state and I love the fact that she is communicative (I can even email with her) and spends a lot of personal time with you. At some point though, I may get a second opinion anyway..... Before I got the RA diagnosis, I was treated for 2 years for Lyme disease and got very mixed opinions on which disease was responsible for what symptoms and which course of treatment to follow. I've been working on the RA diagnosis for 2 years. During the same period, my husband became a " relapsed " instead of " recovering " alcoholic and both my parents died ..... so it's been a bit of a " time " ..... Still I have 2 friends with terminal cancer and feel... awkward complaining... Carla
Guest guest
, My Rhummy said that I did not fit the mold for RA but he just had a thought. My blood work was ok but I had the pain he sent me for an MRI of the hands and when the contrast hit it showed the RA big time. So it could be a situation such as mine.Worth asking.
