Guest guest
After Kari's 1st surgery she also had headaches during her 2nd week post-op. They happened instantly if she bent over at the waist, looked down too long, stayed up too long...typed too long..etc. The headaches completely stopped after 3 wks. This time for her 2nd surgery (cyst removal and more laminectomies) at 5 wks tried to go shopping and lasted only 1 1/2hrs...got very pale and shaky and looked like someone had poured water over her head...she was drenched from perspiration... due to the exhertion of just walking around and holding her head up...LOL... Now 6 wks post-op she is just now feeling stronger & has finally left the house for short visits to friends or stores. For those that are panicked that they are not getting well quick enough or still have " swelling, headaches, fatigue " going on...give it more time and take it slow...it takes awhile to heal from surgery...and build up your strength/stamina. Patience is one thing that is hard to have...when you want your life back...LOL....but it will get better, just listen to your body and it will let you know when it is ready...do a little more each day and rest alot in between. Hope this helps! Dori mom of Kari 6 wks post-op & half of theose awful painful FMS trigger spots are gone!!!yippeeeee!
