Guest guest
Hi all, I went to visit Pat Rooney today at the hospital. She is doing good. She had nausea from the morphine pump so is taking something else instead. She got up and was able to take a shower by herself today and should be able to come home tomorrow. Her surgery was on Wednesday. I was a little nervous about my visit cause I will have surgery next month. But I am so glad I went to see her. She looks great and of course is sore. I was so relieved because I was worried that I would see her in so much discomfort that I would be more anxious about my upcoming surgery. I said Don't you feel bad about all that worrying you did before and she said Yes. She said she would tell me not to worry and that it was no big deal but she knows that I will worry anyway. I guess it is part of being human. I just hope she takes her recovery slow cause she is a very stubborn friend and insists that she is going to wash her hair immediately when she gets home. She has staples, could this cause any problems, so soon? Thank you for your prayers, Laurie, ACM1, 10mm, syrinx, surg. July 11th in FL.
