Hello All:

I have been putting much effort into understanding my test and med

results: Am I thinking correctly?

August: Armour 2.25 grains

Labs: Total T4 5.2 4.2-13

F T4 1.4 0.8-2.3

Total T3 141 55-170

F T3 3.8 2.3-4.2

October: Meds were changed to:

50mcg Levoxyl 60mg(lgrain)AM 30mg ArmourPM

Total T4 10 4.2-13

F T4 1.7 0.8-2.3

Total T3 123 55-170

F T3 4.3 2.3-4.2

Note: My total T4 went up and My Total T3 went down.

My Ft3 went up and my Ft4 went up.

My questions and Comments:

Did the doctor think I was getting too much T3 and not enough T4? Was

he trying to change this balance? This change lowered the Total t3

but not the Free T3.

What happens if you do not convert t4 to t3?

Would the Ft4 be in the high end of the range?

Is the T4 converted from the Total T4 or the Free T4?

Can cell resistance to hormone be indentified on these test?

Latest Dosing Change:

Levoxyl 50mcg 30 1/2grain Armour AM 30(1/2grain Armour PM

Many of my symptoms have increased in intensity: pain, itching, waking

from sleep 2-3AM, fatigue, depression and consitpation. I have new

blood work tomorrow and am trying to figure out what should happen.

I would think the Total T4 will be much lower.

I would think the Total T3 will be much lower.

I think the Ft3 will be much lower.(If I am not converting T4 - T3)

I think the Ft4 will be slightly lower.

I have a pituitary tumor and a non-functioning thyroid gland. Just

trying to figure out what symptoms could be not enough thyroid

hormone.Any thoughts or answers?

Thanks,

Frannie
