Guest guest
HI Everyone, I just got back my latest test results: FT3: 333 (230 - 420) FT4: 3.19 (1.2 - 3.22) TSH 0.03 (.04 - 5.5) My doc's nurse said to stay on my current 2 grains. I told the nurse that I am working to get my FT3 up to the top of the range. She relayed that the doc was concerned about the tsh and to come in to discuss it on Monday. I see that they are going by the old ranges for tsh. I looked in the files section to find the info on why tsh doesn't matter once you begin tx with Armour, but can't seem to locate it. Can anyone send this to me and any other info that I can take in with me on Monday. I didn't tell her that I actually increased from 2 grains to 2 and a half grains about a week ago after I had my blood drawn. I feel absolutely great, but still have low basal temps, cold hands and feet, a very low sex drive. I feel like this extra half grain may get me where I want to be. Any material will be appreciated. Guest guest
How are you doing with Selenium? It's gonna boost your conversion, getting that T3 up just a bit more... You can safely go to 400 mcg of Selenium per day... Currently I'm on about that myself... I can't afford labs, but I do feel that it's helped with my feeling so much better... just a thought... Your high Free T4 is a clue that you are not converting well. On Armour, most folks have a free T4 in the ones. As mentioned, you need to be on Selenium. L-tyrosine is also good for conversion, as may be Vitamin C. Also, you probably need adrenal support. That can certainly help you with the conversion and overall picture. I am on Isocort, taking 6 tabs a day. Your doc's nurse isn't too knowledgeable to tell you to stay on 2 grains (but so are the vast majority of medical professionals!!). Glad you increased!! Also, your low libido may be another issue, such as low testosterone. I started supplementing with testosterone, and wow!! Also, how is your Ferritin? That is an important correction. Guest guest
--- HI , I went to his website, but couldn't find anything related to this. I know that Janie and others here support the belief that tsh is not relavent once tx begins, but I also saw it other places. I wish I would have copied it. Maybe he has something on a webiste about this.
Guest guest
I'm the multi-dosing queen... but I still think the is a valid reason to splitting up the doses of many things... try taking some of the Selenium in the morning... and some before bed... they are easy to pop after a meal.. and so far, I've read no concerns about absorption concerns. Let us know if a few weeks how you're doing..... Topper () On Sat, 17 Jan 2004 14:30:52 -0000 " cs_crawford55 " writes: > -HI Topper, > I take 300 mcg a day. Guest guest
HI Janie, I take 300mcg of selenium, 750 of L-tyrosine, 1000mg C every day. I take something called Adrenal Fatigue support and natural progesterone has been my salvation for about 8 years. Maybe I should have my hormones and ferritan tested. It is funny, I feel so much better mentally and physically except for those particular symptoms. I have an apt Monday evening with one doc in this practice, but I am going to try to change it to my original one who seems more interested in looking at all of the hormones. She mentioned that on my first visit, but then has been out with breast cancer tx. She is back thought so I am going to try to get in with her.
